Cast & Crew

  • James Cowen
    Writer | Director | Producer Designer | Animator | VFX Artist jimmyc.tv

James Cowen is an Australian filmmaker, designer and animator with more than 15 years experience in feature films, television, music videos, short films, corporate events, documentaries and multimedia projects. James' influences range from filmmakers Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Tim Burton to the poetry of Roald Dahl.

He helped make penguins dance on Happy Feet Two, designed funky end titles for Killer Elite and made onset retro video graphics for The Black Balloon. He is immensely proud (and relieved) to finally release his own short film, The Curse of Eleanor Crabtree, to the world.

James survives on smokey bacon, great stories, quality coffee, overly clever t-shirts, his fabulous wife and their mischievous cat. After working in Brisbane and Sydney, James now calls Melbourne home.

  • Mark Pidcock

Graduating with a Film and TV Visual Arts degree in hand, Mark delved into a career in audio post production and location recording, sound editing his way through TV shows and features like "Lost World", "Flipper" and "Blurred". Since moving from Brisbane to Sydney in 2004, he has combined his audio expertise and a new-found penchant for systems and process management, currently managing the Internal Sales and Support team at one of Australia's leading Pro and Consumer audio distributors.

The discipline of a day job has allowed time and headspace for Mark to continue his creative endeavours, including sonic explorations in songwriting in his home studio, and visual adventures like The Curse of Eleanor Crabtree. He currently has about 10 songs in development that will make their way into the ether in the second half of 2012. He writes a blog about this that no-one reads called Shakin' the Rowdy Tree.
